Located in Oakland’s downtown City Center, the new SMU Health Sciences University is a vertical campus that consists of eleven levels of educational and administrative spaces. The building will feature student-life spaces, classrooms, various specialty labs and workspaces, administrative offices and library. Clearstory
is developing a comprehensive branded interior and exterior signage program. The wayfinding will be focal points that create a consistent brand experience through out the building. The design utilizes SMU’s color palette paired with the schools variety of logomarks to indicate the floor’s core functions.
